I bought an MPC this weekend...

the MPC 1000.... now, ive been strictly software for 4 years now, and i thought id never get some hardware..... but then.....



my girlfriend got credit.


and we, men, all know it is our duty to take advantage of this new discovery, and abuse it to further our musical habits.


it is an amazing piece of gear. so much fun. so small. I transferred 6 wav files to the thing, pressed record, and made an entire beat in 3 minutes.



sorry, i had to release my joy somewhere.

yah man, i researched on the internet and printed every ad i found... took em to guitrar center & got the mpc, with the 128 mb expansion, a free pair of akg headphones, all for 80$ cheaper than it goes for

I always skeme-check for extra cables hehe. So I got both the mpc2xl with 8chnls snakes and 4 x 5m midi cables free.

I did got screwed on the memory, they gave me a regular pricetag on Flash memory. So when they came in I had paid 115 bucks on 2 x 16mb. I didnt knew they were that expansive but I wasnt willing to pay 115 bucks for a fucking 32mb of dimm.

Fucking noobs!

nope! as for now, im doing all my stretching on the pc... hopefully it gets added in a future os update, cause i hear the 1k and 2kxl share the same something or other so its possible!
