I want to make a track (just for my own enjoyment), with sampled disses from hip-hop records.

If i want to get all the samples to play on beat one after the other they would have to be all the same tempo/BPM. What program could i use to stretch the length of the samples and change it's BPM with out pitching it and making sound like a chipmunk?

I've Cubase, cool edit and Kontakt but I'm new to producing so i don't fully know all the in's and out's of these programs

Eka, could you elaborate on what you did? Did you simply dump all the samples into Acid then click a button then they were all on beat with each other, or did you go through a big process of stretching etc.?

i use a prog called samplitude...its got the pitch/time stretching right there, accessible by twisting a knob...i justr twist till its oin time with the beat...itdoesnt hurt to have some dj skills, it will quicken the process..

Delay,
On acid4, you have a program-in-a-program, and it counts the bpm of everything you have in the track and matches 'em up. I think its called timekeeper, but i forget. I havent used that program in a while.

when you got the samples in loop mode they automatically stretch to the same bpm.
standard is 120 but you can change that.
than render to a new track and the sample is the desired bpm.
I use it often to fit a loop in a track I do in fruity loops.
it works for me.

i do all my beats in acid pro 4 now...the only problem is that it uses timestretch to match bpms so if the difference in the sample's original tempo and the desired tempo is too big then the sample might sound fucked up.
