Would have loved to intern there.

First thing I thought when I saw the pics was "I would definitely host a meeting there" and sure enough they have corporate options and the concierge is a good touch as well.

I think this is all just a ploy for The Palms to differentiate itself since it has a such a crappy location in Vegas.

- It's NOT on the Vegas Strip.
- It's about a mile and a half walk from the Strip.
- When you're staying on the Strip, you don't even feel like going to the Palms unless you "have to." That's the same with the Mirage.
- It's ACROSS the highway (big problem).

So management tries to make it look like the "hip and cool' casino by attracting a younger/edgier crowd and Hollywood cats that act as "whales" for the casino - when the Strip-located casinos get business from a better stock of "whales" (think of Caesar's Palace, Bellagio, Wynn, etc.) They get easier and better clientele.

The Palms is trying to make up for it's garbage location. I think they're doing a hell of a good job, though.

Looks Amazing, but at the same time seems alittle wasteful espeically in this day in age. I mean for high flying platnium artist its dope, but how many of those are around anymore... Id be interested to see how the downfall of the biz is effecting places like this...

I think in the end there will still be a need for places like this, but their certainly disintegrating by the minute.

they don't list the engineers do they? the 2 directors but no engineers, unless it's primarily post audio where the system is slightly different.

other than that, i would want to know who designed the studio, the equipment, of course the rates, and would want a tour allowing me to play my reference cd to hear their monitoring sytem, as well as, their client list, if i was an artist or bringing a major act or corporate account there. looks are very deceiving in this business of smoke and mirrors.

Too many distractions. But the energy would be so positive, so my whole sound would change in that environment. And i know there's tons of dimepieces in and out that joint 24/7.


I wouldn't get nothing done until probably the last few days there.
