Hooking Up mpc 1000 and a keybhoard to reason

I want to hook up an mpc 1000 and a radium 49 keyboard to reason on a laptop how would i do that and wat equipment or cables would help?

If you're going to hook it up to a laptop, you might want to get something like an EMU 1616M or anything that has a Midi I/O to USB conversion

Connect the MPC's midi I/O to the PC's midi I/O

and connect your midi controller's midi Output into the MPC's midi input

make sure u set your Mpc's midi/sync to AB

You could get a MIDI USB Hub(see pic) and use that.


Radium OUt to MPC IN
MPC OUT to PC MIDI IN
PC MIDI OUT to MPC MIDI IN
Cables Needed:USB(if get hub but should be included) and MIDI Cables

What is the purpoe of connecting the mpc?? Strictly as controller pads? You won't be able to get any of the sounds from the mpc into reason. Gotta use pro tools or another audio editing program for that.

You can still sync up the MPC with Reason, play the sounds from the MPC and just use reason for extra sounds and rewire it to either cubase or protools to record the sounds from reason and mpc.
