Sorry... I just wanted to see how many people would view this thread with a title like "Holy Shit!".... Please don't kill me, Fade.


Also, I had a question .... how many people have found that after listening to a beat they're making, while it's looping over and over, the bass drum slowly starts to make them drowzy? I swear this happens to me.... if I listen to the beat for longer than 4 minutes at a time... it's like a lullabye. Anyone else experience this, or am I just buggin' out?

jeeze, yall.... I'm not talking about the beat making you sleepy... I know that in Cool Edit you can make this brainwave synchronization loop that stimulates certain thingamadoodads in your brain that cause different effects "supposedly"... I'm talking something similar to that. I mean the frequency of the bass drum, after time, starting to slowly ebb away at your awareness... kinda like getting ear fatigue only at a much higher rate....

I think ur on to somthing man.. hellof sounds u hear in song patterns, melodies, and instruments all subliminally make everyones mind react a certain way like some melodies like ur saying can induce sleep.. shit we gotta find those melodies and sounds that make people feel good or make them want to dance or some shit and they don't know why it amkes them feel good it just does.. For example how do u think it would make u feel without u knowing why when u heard a beat that sampled some old cartoon song or some movie that u watched like 10000 times as a little kid.. that shit would make u feel like a little kid again and make u feel all warm and happy and u wouldn't quite know why but u'd dig that record for that reason.... U can fuck with peoples emotions like make them hella mad, sad, happy whatever u wanna convey in ur song u can find some subliminal trick to do that in ur beat... I dunno, thats jus somthin u made me think about by bringin up that piont

what you're saying is something I've always wanted to incorporate into my beats, but I didn't want to seem like I was "brainwashing" someone into liking my beats. Almost like subliminal messaging..... in the audio. I even thought about using that brainwave synchronization technique to create noise that would stimulate, excite, relax, etc... and have that as a background noise loop IN the beat.... but that's cheating, isnt it? "You like my beats because i programmed you to, not because I programmed it to be likeable!"

cronic fatigue syndrome... i know when i chill out and fire up tha Fosgates through some nice drum and bass playing or even nice Tracks with extremly low freq tones combined with a nice melody it puts me out and work great on tha kiddies too LOL.. I stand in your defense Dantson, usually after working on a beat I usually leave it looping so I can listen for errors and where to add in extra instruments and such, but I always seem to end up in the bed waking up a couple hours later when the beat looping starts to get annoying, I really think something have been discovered here in Illmuzik, I believe the repetitous patterns of a sound wave can hyptonize and drug a human mind, just like the way the continuous repetitions of watching a pendulum can hypnotize. Its not the Coke, Its Science baby, science.........

Like Ghostface said, "You can't feed steak to a baby...". If the 85% aren't ready for it, you can't give it to them. It would be nice if we could subliminally teach them in our beats......buuuttttt.... it ain't happening. I appreciate the defense, Krzy. It's odd that I would even NEED it...
