Greetings Folks,
What it do? What y'all been up to?
I have completed my first semester, including writing all the papers + tests, and have begun my 2nd semester today. Studying Social Work (with an emphasis on Stress & Trauma). The academy is lifeless, but hey - I've always said that one should never close doors. It would be absolutely wonderful to be a traveler/wanderer one day and maybe settle down at some distant place, having my own farm, sheep and property... But for the time being, I am acquiring a profession. Step by step
So, with all this being said, I check on IllMuzik daily. It may seem as if I am a bit unseen, but I AM HERE. Moderating silently & mostly conversing through emails & messages. So, holla @ ya boy!
Now, let's move to the next and most significant topic: I have not had one thought free of Hip-Hop in the latest (many) years. Hip-Hop, in my eyes & in my humble opinion, is a supreme & most majestic form of expression & creative freedom. Hip-Hop is the truest embodiment of LIFE. The SOUL of LIFE. We have the 4 elements plus many more recent innovations - but nevertheless - look at the current state of affairs. I ask you: WHAT THE FUCK? We have been robbed in daylight. Most of today's hip-hop is one big rip off, artists and listeners alike are to blame. That's certainly no big news & I am not rejuvenating anything fresh here. It's an utmost sincere vent, that's all...
I cannot demand people to follow the archetype of the suffering artist, like I romantically do. If you were to ask me - I'd say: clean toilets but remain true & real. I have worked very hard my whole life, up to now, including these studies - while I could have possibly made not so bad $$$ (humbly said - I had quite many offers from both Israel and US), but NO WAY I'D ACCEPT ANY OF THESE. DAMNED I'LL BE. I swear that I rather live on the streets but never sell myself to anyone. That's the pattern I follow. I live a very humble life & can even afford having my own car (Ford Fiesta 96). I obey to no one & create the music of my dreams, whilst also humbly representing HIP-HOP to the bone.
Y'all may ignore my romanticized artistic outlook, but you cannot deny its pureness. Both haloDim & Paragon Black were written in my thick blood as well as the blood of my partners - Mercury Waters (Peace & Blessings KING) Agent Smith (lyrics is the name of the game!). Both have stepped on a brand new artistic path since then and I sincerely wish them the best of luck. Merc & John are no less than GODS. Such amazing & extraordinary talent! They are both not so known as some other [so-called] famous & shiny emcees-poets, but they will surpass everybody very soon. Thank you brothers. ONE LOVE.
