Hip Hop Production Education

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there´s any good hip hop production schools or courses in the States , or any where else for that matter ?

when i graduate high school next year i mgiht be going to a music production school in conneticut (hartford?). i forgot the website but it says something like we get our own workstation, learn the stuff, and make an album or something before we graduate. the nwe get jobs i n studios. so if my grades are good enough i'll be able to get in

There is no such thing as hiphop production class, to my knowledge atleast. There's good engineering schools dat teach you engineering and overall production like Iar or fullsail.

There are dvds and videos out with intruction on "hiphop production" http://www.beatstreetrecords.com you may be able to order some from there

But overall you don't need to go to school to produce hiphop. You just gotta know the culture a

i agree with wut fantom said... the only thing you really need for hip hop production is an ear for music... if u need a teacher to fill you in on the feild then maybe you should divert your attention elsewhere... speaking for myself hip hop production just comes naturally... after all these years listening to all different types of music i can tell a hit when i hear one.

only thing i can think of is studio engineering courses, I am doing one now - shit's off the ball n chains - ya nah mean, you get your own g4 workstation, and one fine ass teacher.

At dmx, but i have to postpone it - the guy that took over my hours - came to work dead drunk, fell asleep and locked the residents out of the building for two hours kid. Because of that I got to go back to work full time til they find someone to replace me, hopefully i'll be back enrolled next semester - and also you have Institute of Audio Research that ones good too,,,,,,,,,
