havnt read everyones posts but its pretty obvious that cats up in here have brains and know that hiphop is not just for black poeple.
hardboiled: you ARE SUPPOSED to do Hiphop. if you do your research into the founders of Hiphop (Afrika Bambaata etc) and understand WHY they made Hiphop you will know that Hiphop IS for you and that the people who say it isnt are simply ignorant and dont even have an understanding of what the Hiphop movement that they concider themselves to be a part of is all about.

go to that website and go to the Hiphop section. Bambaata founded the Zulu Nation after a trip to Africa and seeing how the Africans lived. Bambaata brought the Zulu nation to America with the goal of ATTAINING PEACE (at that time it was about attaining peace in the streets but no its a world wide movement obviously). Hiphop is an extension of the Zulu nation. Bambaata proposed Hiphop (in the form of music, art, dance and the general idea of love) to the youth who were up to no good in the streets. alot of those kids happened to be black but the actual Zulu Nation/Hiphop movement had NOTHING to do with skin colour. check Bambaatas quotes. the goal of this whole fucking thing is UNITY. unity of black, white, green, purple and whaever other colour someone happened to be.
once you understand that, you will understand that YOU are NOT the one who is polluting THEIR Hiphop..........instead you will realise that THEY are polluting YOUR Hiphop.
Hiphop is yours. You dont own it. Nobody owns it. Hiphop is an idea and the originator of that idea GAVE it to anyone and everyone.
