Hi hat timing

Hi everyone,

I’m having a hard time with hi hats. I will put 1/8th hi hat notes in a 4 bar sequence but when I try to make rolls thruout the sequence it sounds off in the music. Can someone explain why this happens?

Maybe you are trying to draw the roll with disabled grid function.Enable snap to grid function and set it to 1/16 or 1/32....

Or try to experiment with sextuplets and triplets (1/6, 1/3) and also 1/12.

@Halle Unfortunately, I have no idea since I'm using FL Studio. You'd have to check it out somewhere or maybe you'll get a reply from somebody who uses this DAW.
