help needed: best format to send/receive beats and completing songs???

hey guys, I need some advice here

we're getting some beats send to us for a mixtape/album I'm helping out together and I'm wondering what's the simplest and best process to go about the whole process of sending/receiving beats and completing songs.

This is the process I was thinking would work best

1. producer sends us the beat in mp3 format with basic structuring (intro, verse, chorus, verse etc.)

2. artist records rhymes to the beat

3. we send rhymes to producer so they can arrange the beat how they like it

4. producer send arranged beat in separate .wav files so we can then get it professionally mixed and mastered


is there a better way? what do peeps on here usually do?

just make sure you render out the vocals from zero. so that way the producer can drop the vocals in and not have to place them in their proper place.

Yeah thats very important..
And always send a reference track so that whoever recieves them can get a general idea of how you were wanting it to sound ie: how the flow of the mc drops and so forth
