Exclamation !!!!!need help wit reason3.0 piano roll???
i just cant get the sound i want i need help using da piano roll in reason!!! im so dam aggravated i get da samples and still cant get nothing dat sound right!!! im bout to throw my labtop out da window!!!! i dont know if im just not making da sample loner enough or to short!!! im using sound forge to chop!!!!! but when i put them in da nn-xt and then assign them to each key then go to da piano roll to map it it out i just cant get da melodey out!!! makes me feel like i cant make a beat!!!! NEED HELP PLEASE SOME ONE OUT THERE HELP ME!!!!!

I got tired of trying to fuck with piano roll when i had fl studio, Got a midi controller and reason, made my life easier. you can get one for about 100 bucks.

and if you can't afford a midi controller go to

www.bome.com (it's a virtual midi control, has a tut on how its hooked up to reason and how it works)
Download: ReasonIntergration1.0, Bome's Mouse Keyboard, MidiYoke(for your OS)

hook it up like it says in the tutorial on Bome.com then reboot, and your all set.. but MAKE SURE you get the ReasonIntergration and MIDIYOKE.

i got da midi key board all ready !! i have a radium midman!!! i just wanted to learn more about da program!!plus my keyboard is to big to lug around!!!! so when im at da shop i cnt use my keys!!!! im just gonna have to buy a little key board!!!

Yeah, I would just buy a used M-Audio Oxygen 8 or something equally basic, they fit into a backpack with your laptop and combined with reason, you're set.

If your going to get a little keyboard cop the axiom 25 key, that shit is dope, theyre the best key action m-audio has ever made imo, not all hard and so fast to snap back.

plus it has maps custom made for every device in reason, and enigma so you can make your own contol settings, traspot contols (ff, rw, stop, play, record) and some nice feeling pads.

If theyre 49 key version with the faders was cheaper i would have bought that instead of the new oxgeon 49.

what do you mean use the piano roll???? get the pencil and draw the samples or notes.....adjust the length and do what you do.

I know making full tracks in the piano roll is not ideal...but i dont see whats not to get.

if stiffness is an issue, take snap off and play around with the places in the notes(samples)

give some more information.

yeah i thought i got detailed enough!!!! im new to the piano roll in reason!!!! and like i said before tricks,tips and ect to help me get da melody in da pinao roll in reason 3.0........ not everyone can just do it in just a snap!!! some learn different from others just keep da tips coming and goodlooking out !!!

try, pressing each key with your mouse and listein to the sound u want, then determin how long you want the or each note to be. the on the sequencer tool bar, click the pencil/pen tool and draw it out of how long you want it to be, then play it back and listen. and adjust each one to how long or short or etc, you want everything to be.

hope this helps, kinna pointing out the obvious.. but im new to producing/reason also.. so if it dosn't help i apologize ahead of time.
