if you aren't going to be using them when recording then the Beyerdynamic DT990's are good and very durable. I would personally recommend these over my akg k270's especially in the durability stakes. I myself am getting a pair soon (the 880's are half open and 770's closed also if you want closed design as often is the case for alot of tasks the Beyerdynamic DT150's are the way to go) about $200 usd

imo beyerdynamic are the best option performance durability (metal frame not plastic) and price wise

i recommend any sony heaphones from the mdrv-600 and up.
and any AKG's starting from the k-240's and up.
The reason i choose these cause they offer replaceable cable lines, great freq response naturally,
and can with stand high db levels so they dont distort easily

for $200 beyerdynamic dt-150 or akg k271's or k270's no doubt.... for $200 these headphones are better than the sennheiser offerings (imo). The sennheiser hd600's are sweet but in that price range so are the grado's etc.

i would get the dt-150's sound good and very durable.
