I'm only working with a lot of synth sounds, but in my country most of them idiots don't like that style. Those mc's wanna have other type of shit.

Even now in France they have more electronic sounds and beats, they don't wanna stay with that same old shit for decades, but in Luxembourg there are only a bunch off ... that don't know that times have changed.

You best start out simple......acoustic drums....acoustic or jazz bass....sparse strings......acoustic guitar.....and some keys....try finding some jazz records to sample and maybe some soul record bits and pieces...you can't go wrong with that....and DO NOT USE any synths....this might give you the sound you are looking for....there are about two schools of rappers, the ones that don't give a fugg about the sounds you use just have a hot beat pattern and some ok samples....then you got the ones that want only acoustic sounding or some soul sounds.....they might be the rappers on the intelligent or message cipher flows....

tonight I was in a club where american dj's were makin are hot party,
some of my friends, dominicanos and africans were freestylin, they were so hot, better than anybody you know, better than those assholes with their intelligent shit. They know how to move the crowd.

And I got love for my bounce and crunk beats from other rappers, that showed me that I shouldn't give a damn about wackass rappers that want some ol' stuff cause they will never have a club on fire.

how bout switching your style a lil bit to make yourself more marketable in your community.

in New Orleans, i find myself having to learn the in and outs of making party music (better known as bounce)

i didn't want to make this kind of music but its a thriving force here

so my take on the situation is make the best out of it
add another style to your resume but when you do
the "known or in thing" flip it and freak it in your own way

its a win win situation

To be honest what they are saying to you is right. If your a producer you cant make what you want *all the time* I mean its always good to make music that you feel but when your a producer what you want isnt important at all......you work for the people, not just people that buy beats from you but for the audiance they present thier music to and honestly man you gotta make the music they want to hear in order to prosper. Its all about the people when your in this business cause what you want dosent really matter if they aint feelin it......so just make the music the people wanna hear and you will learn to adapt to it!

So there's no problem ....
