hardrive for mpc1000

I returned to the world of hardware last week and copped an mpc1000. I see there is an option to install an internal hardrive. Has anyone done this? If so let me know. Thanx for any input.

Ive read about many people doing it on the mpc forums. You can apparently fit up to 80 gigs confirmed in there. I dunno how inclined id be to sift through 80 gigs on that load window tho through the mpc??? But its a good option.

You will need the Hard drive Adapter in order to properly install it. Go to www.mpc-forums.com its a big thread on that.

Yup, I installed a 40gig on my 1000 n it works great. There are several approved harddrrives on the akai site but you can use any hard drive within a certain spec which i cant remember at the moment, itl prob b in the link above. If you need ne help with installing it just get at me.
