Hard Brass Hit

I was wondering if anyone is aware of a VST of samples pack that has some nice hard Hip-Hop type low brass stacco hits. I hear it in rap all the time and I've tried to replicate but somhow my version always falls short. I realize this may require stacking a few sounds but any help would be greatly appreciated.

u tried edirol orchestral? or sumthing like that. i use it. does the job, rather sick actually. exept u cant save changes to it, so u gotta right down sumwhere all ur settings and re adjust each time u open the midi/arrangment file

Damn...thought I was on the only one experiencing that....it's a flaw in a very dope vst! What I did to get around that is come out of the edirol channel and record into another track. Beats having to set edirol up each time you close your project!

Now to get back on topic! MB, you have to layer that shit...a couple diff't brass instruments layered with a snare works for me. I'd say at least 5 to 6 layers to get it hitting hard and sounding fat.

I got "stupid" amounts of samples with various hits so I really don't have to do all that anymore.

I guess you're using FL studio... and if that's the case, you need to use a MIDI Out channel to trigger you VSTi...

You need to adjust the BANK and PATCH on each Midi Out channel to match the sound you're looking for...

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I downloaded edirol and started using it. You have to tweak the sounds a bit but I was able to get some good stuff messing with the Character nob.

Lil Drama Boi: I saw your myspace, awesome beats bro! How would you feel about selling me some of your hard hitting samples? I understand if you dont, just wanted to throw it out there

Saving Setups: I havent tried it but in cubase all vst windows have an option to save and load the setup. That could work, I have been keeping notes though.
