I heard he got signed to Babygrande...

That's just hearsay...

Yeah I know some dudes out here who know Tech.....I guess they were supposed to do a show with Tech but he screwed them at the end by not showing up or some shit....

People saying he's a bitch..but that's neither here nor there...

I don't know..I guess he's underground enough to not get mainstream appeal...but I think he's well-known enough to be considered the opposite....To the average teeny bopper leanin and rockin, Tech doesn't exist....lol....to people like us who know and truly love hip-hop, well we know who he is...

Well i think being that hes very political and speaks on racial inequality a good deal almost automatically nixes him out for #1 mainstream candidate. Big companies just dont want that typically...They want something easy to package and sell to a larger demographic. But thats what makes him dope. He speaks on real shit. Thats just how it goes typically...If you speak on real shit and you dont cut corners to make a buck to sell yourself to the masses you tend to stay underground.

you can be successful or signed to a major without your music being mainstream.
its only once u start to use certain sounds, topics and rhythms in order to reach a mainstream audience, that u stop being underground. look at kanye, he wasnt mainstream in the beginning, he wasnt realy underground neither, but he surely turned mainstream recently.
BEPs got mainstream with the sound of "where is the love", that was totally britney (but a good song).
Cypress Hill were successful, but never mainstream, well maybe Tequilla Sunrise was. RAGEatm? S/T album, very political, 3mil sales, not mainstream at all.

I don't believe that there is an "Underground" in a traditional sense anymore. The internet blurred the lines with that. If your music and/or your show is good, you will draw a following.

Immortal Tech is not your typical artist. He's probably holds some of the highest principles of any rapper that I've met. He just doesn't do stuff "just to do it", its a message/movement behind it all.

He's a very humble dude, very intelligent as well. He mentions that the 1st thing he did with his money from Revolutionary Vol 1 was buy LAND in his native country.

He's the owner of Viper Records and has a deal in place through major indie Babygrande.

He definitely has a cult following as a fanbase.

In terms of live show, he's probably one of the most intense live performers in the business.
Anyone who has seen him perform Dance With The Devil live can easily co-sign that statement.
In his earlier days, I've seen him go on stage when NOBODY knew who he was and snatch the crowd.
He can and has earned as much as a lot of gold artists on major label in terms of per show prices.

He does a lot of touring w/ Stronghold NYC which includes guys like Poison Pen, Diabolic, Akir, the list goes on.

We have a classic interview stashed away in the vaults that we're gonna drop first quarter 09 ft. Tech. Look out for that one.
