GB is NOT that bad. Everyone is trippin' on his voice. What about Shyne? He's got a new release- which I happen to like, too. (Cold Truth add insult here > X )

G.Blacks lyrical skill isn't anywhere close to B.I.G. , on the Compton song he came off ok, but every other song i heard his lyrics are Shitty. Its all just a BIG gimmick......(no pun intended) and its really funny in the Compton song when he says "im original" like 20 times, you are not original........end of story......

As far as the voice... I agree Shyne is tight. I'm only speaking on the vocal comparison. No one ever said the he was direspecting BIG. Why is this a direspect thing with GB? I'm a BIG fan to the fullest. I don't feel this cat is doing any harm... let him get his 15.

There's will never be another B.I.G. He was the greatest of all time.

I believe I heard that Shyne said somthing about being the next Biggie or some ishhhh like that, when he 1st came out... dont remember what he said exactly, or if it was true, though.... And I'd like to know why does he have to sound so much like Biggie?! Also he made his 1st LP on Bad Boy records...

As far as GB... I heard the LP... the beats are ok (specially the one with Nate Dogg)... (kinda commercial though... Jazzy Pha) and the lyrics are just under average...

Well peeps from an article that I read Guerilla Black got a lot of flack becuase he sounded like Biggie. He tried to change it up when he was attempting to get signed on with Ice T. He brought in some tracks that were totally different and he was scrapped. Thus he is back to the original sound.
I've heard a few songs on the album that I liked. I wasn't the voice that was the tracks.

I don't think you can just say that he's trying to sound like Biggie, if he naturally sounds that way. If you are speaking of flows and rhyme patterns, they do sound very similar to Biggie.
Here's some articles I've read on him.

Lets get the boring shit out of the way first - who is Guerilla Black and how did he come into the rap game?

GB: Well... I was born in Jolliet just outside Chicago, but wound up coming to Los Angeles. When I first made the move to LA I was living in a shelter... and then I ended up in Compton, where I was definitely wilding out out there... a lot of ups and downs, you know? And throughout that I was pursuing my career, and trying to get my name out there and get heard.

ThaFormula.Com - Now I heard you were discovered by Ice-T. How did that come about Black?

Guerilla Black - My mother was working at a telemarketing company and she came down to where I was staying at and told me that while she was at work, she had ran into Ice-T. So next day she hooked me up with a job up there and that same day I met Big Rich and he walked me in there to meet Ice-T. So Ice T let me go up to record in the studio. At that time I was still trying to discover myself and figure out myself. I've always been a heavy deep voiced person so I was just experimenting and trying not to sound so much tha way that I do sound. I was doing alot of screaming and stuff like that trying to experiment and just trying to stay away from sounding tha way I sound. When my wife passed though it was just like yo I can only do me now. So I just started going with what I know. About my life, my reality. It's no longer the fun raps and stuff like that. It was just more about reality and it's just lately that I been loosening up.

Man I didint no what to beleive at first if its true or fake but then i just read this off allhiphop.com

The CEO of Bungalo Records has clarified statements regarding the Big Cizzle CD, Guerilla Black’s first album. Critics of Guerilla Black complained of similarities to The Notorious B.I.G. An obscure album that was reported to be unauthorized by the rapper surfaced, with his vocals altered. “That project was [officially] released several years ago,” Bungalo’s CEO Paul Ring told AllHipHop.com. “Since that time the record was scrapped and has been out of the Universal system for quite some time. Bungalo has no plans or rights to re-release that album
