What options are you looking for Delay? The Groovebox MC-909 if that's what your referring to, can connect directly to a PC and it will show up as another drive letter in windows explorer, which you can trade samples back and forth with ease. You'll never run out of samples, you can synchronize midi sounds with audio sounds right on the box, you have the SRX expansion slot option so you can add more sounds if you like.
But really it's sort of the opposite of the MPC, the MPC comes without sounds, the Groovebox MC-909 comes with sounds, they both can sample sounds and sequence. You can do the same type of chopping and editing of your samples as on the MPC, but I don't know how they differ in that respect. Unless your hell bent on the MPC which is a great machine then get it, but compare the features with what options you'll need in your lab, check the prices advantages disadvantages of both and then go from there.
