Holy crap... they look like fuzzy slippers for your ears. Your parents are pretty damn cool for being aware of your interests and buying a relevant gift like that. Big ups to the Kaplan's for that.

Happy Birthday Wings. Those HD590's look sweet! Have you had a chance to do any production work with them yet? If so, how's the response - flat or colored in any way? Would you do a track with them versus using studio monitors? I'm gonna pick up some new headphones and considered these for a minute so your review might bump these up the list. Thanks and PM me if you don't want to start an endless headphone review/comparison in this thread.

J-ReZyN: These headphones are simply amazing. The sound is brilliant; very rich, extremely detailed and crystal clear. I most definitely recommend these headphones for serious production\mastering sessions (I would not want them if they weren't perfect for my needs - and i have very high standards...). Most of my music is done through headphones. I prefer using headphones over monitors, that's not a secret. I always examine the output on my Wharfedales, but most of the production is done with headphones. In any event, when you buy a new pair of headphones, DO NOT COMPROMISE - Sennheiser is the only way to go. Good luck fam
