YES!!!!!!!!

Goodie MOB is back and in full effect. They have a new single out called "play your flutes"
This is the type of beats i want to be making. Smooth ,soulful, southern ,funky, and melodic!!!!!!! In tired of people saying that hip hop beats cant be complicated. This beat is complicated as hell but they fit perfectly on it!!! Listen to the lyric's!! They are insightfull and meaningfull

Its funny, depeding where your from , your influnces may vary
cats up north with that new york influnced sample sound(most of the people on this site) grew up lisitng to nas, gangstar, bootcamp click. And idolized producers like premire

Folk down south((ME!) grew up with 8ball & MJG, luke, ghetto boys, and idolized producers like orginzed noise.
The south is NOT JUST LITTLE JOHN! or the YING YANG TWINS!! ITs not a buch of dudes running around screaming in the club(though it is that too). If anything thats just one aspect of our music.

THere are so many diffent types of southern hip hop!!!!!!!

Anyway this is the type of music I WANNA MAKE!!! I will try to find the song and upload it on my soundclick page.

one time for the south!!! and those GOODIE MOB boys!!!!

Yeh they're dope for what they do.....I have to make these kind of Beats also...Imma well rounded cat myself....but I wanna see what they do......there is one reason I don't feel as constrained when making West Coast beats or South beats I can let the Synths loose too.....I run into MC's from all over and the first thing I tell em is bring me some tracks you have done and what do they do??? bring me some Goodie Mobb or some dirty ATL shidd for the examples and of course I have to Study it.....Well Class I see you Livn Krunk for tha most part, you gotta be on top now cause thatz tha shidd that commercial labels looking for a lot of the artists getting signed right now.....

It's hot but umm they definitely changed their style from "they don't dance no more".....LOL.....its close to and reminds me very much of G-Funk and early Dre, DJ Quik or Face, only thing different is the Krunk lyrics......Oh and as far as complicated its a hot track for how they used it, it is arranged like how a neo soul or Jazzy band would play a set in tha club for tha Pimps and playaz.

i have always liked organized noise especially on the earlier OutKast albums matter of fact i have heard that for OutKast next album ther gonna let Organized handle the bulk of the production....i think part of the reason ther shyt is on that melodic complicated tip is i know at least one of them is a trained musicain(Sleepy Brown).....Now since Cee-Lo was my favorite Goodie Mob member i aint really peeped anything from them since he bounce, but i guess ill give this album a listen. I dont know if anyone peeped Cee-lo's past solo efforts but he has alot melodic beats on his albums too

You know what's strange? In the States, you have the East, West, Midwest and South... and actually, in Canada, we have slightly the same thing... of course, some places (like Vancouver) are more influenced by there neibours (West), but all in all, it's kind of mixed up.

So here, in Montreal (we could call that east Canada... but then you would have check out Quebec City also), our style is completely different from the states, our music is a blend of the states. so you can hear some south, east, north, midwest and... some ORIGINAL MTL flav...

I wonder if it's like that in other parts of the world? I mean, hiphop originated from the states, but its transforming

What? What happened Goodie Mob got back together I thought Ceelo said they wernt gonna get back together they got Gip too? Oh yeah and "People dont dance no mo" was tha shiznik

They never really broke up. Cee-lo just left the group. I think is better casue cee-lo neeeded to do his own thing.

Thats why they named there new album
"one monkey dont stop no show" lol
I love them boys

Ohh man truth dont get it twisted lol :)

I have both cee-lo albums and Im one of his biggiest fans. I acutally like the first one better(perfect imperfections) than his latest one. One his first LP the production sounds alot fuller and experinmental. Its mixed very well also.

The latest one is cool, at has some good tracks, but it seems as if he dosent know where he is going production wise. I dont think anyone can deny the mans talanet. Its just a matter of finding music that fits well with his flow. Some of the songs are exllent(night life) but some seem alittle forced and undeveloped(that neptunes joint).

As far as cee-lo and goodie mob i think its good they split becasue they were going in diffent directions anyway. I think this next goodie mob album is really gonna be the shit becasue they are doing what they always have done. When they first came out they were WAY ahead of their time. Now I think more of the masses are ready for them!!!!!

I liked the first one better also and i really didnt understand after producin the last album mostly by himself why he got all those outside producers. The second one i had to force feed it to myself because i didnt like it at first listen but eventuly it got rotation in my cd player
