Good COMPRESSION "IN" ratios when recording vocals....

anyone have any?

basically i got the m-audio tampa pre, it is heavy, built in compressor, has the option to compress "IN" or "OUT"

so i figured id compress in at like -10db 5:1:1 50ms ATTACK and like 150 RELEASE

what are the pros and cons of "IN" and "OUT" compression

is an "OUT" compression like what id do in a wave editor normally....?

I followed the advice of the "tweakheads" site - I believe Wings had posted this somewhere... They recommend a slightly different ratio than you, but don't go into too much detail regarding the attack / release settings.. hope this helps
