Fruity Loopz Help (snap crackle Pop)

i Been Gettin Familar wit fruity loops an tracks are startin 2 come along nice . so ive been usin it couple months an yesterday i went 2 go look at tv for 15 mins when i come back and play the track there is all these snap crackle pops in it so i save open new session same thing crackle crackle everywhere i then restarted comp then i reinstalled fruity loops and its still doing this i looked at help menu about the sound buffering and everything else i dont no wats causing this can some 1 help

how many gigs are you working with? it could be a matter of getting more memory for your operating system.

That could be a number of things. What soundcard are you using? Do you have other programs open with FL?

Hey,

1. What soundcard are you using?
2. What drivers are you using with that soundcard in FL?
3. Do you get popping and crackling if you play audio with a different program, like Windows Media Player?

Something to try:

1. Raise the buffer of your soundcard in Reason. I haven't used Reason, but I remember in Rebirth there was a slider which you moved left/right while a song was playing...you moved it just enough so that the crackling stopped. The drawback of this is that you're not getting as low of a latency value the higher you make the buffer; the advantage is that you get smoother playback.

2. Change the driver which Reason uses to address the card. You haven't mentioned which OS you're using, but you'll probably have the option to choose between MME/WDM, Direct X or ASIO depending on which card you're using. ASIO is the 'better' driver, but if you're using a cheaper card like the Audigy you risk gettting more pops with it, try changing it to one of the other ones to see if the pops go away.

Aye,It happens to me all the time.Just go to start>program files>fruity loops>reset settings and,everything is ok.They suppose to know so much about music they don't even know the samplest things,lol.

if u got too many programs open close em, or follow mod1's advice, never did that before though.
