Frequency issue

I'm new to mixing and producing, so I had a question which is probably pretty basic to a lot of you.
I'm rapping over an instrumental and a certain sound isn't played when my headphones are plugged in through my Blue Yeti Mic. When I plug them into my laptop directly via the aux port, I can hear it just fine. This leads me to believe it's a frequency issue. I'm using Audacity.

Sounds like you are maybe summing to mono instead of stereo. Sounds just cant disappear. You would have to be more specific.

I think it has something to do with treble because when the treble is lowered or the volume is lowered you can hear the sound again, but again it only seems to happen when my headphones are connected through the mic
