TP Basslane-puts the bass in the "right lane"

This little gem is a life saver!

Throw this in your mastering chain towards the end to MAKE SURE those bass frequencies are in check.

AUDIO/VISUAL AID SHOWING WHAT THIS DOES:

In video I panned the bassline about 30R, as u can see in the visualizer it's way off center which causes your bass to also lose it's punch...u should hear the difference centering the bass makes. Initially TP Basslane is bypassed then once I turn it on you see the bass immediately get centered and you hear it get more punch. The reason u apply this to the mastering or mix chain is so that all instruments below a certain freq range get centered which adds that punch to your musics low end.

What the hell do you mean LDB?

Well, the quickest way for your mix to get ugly and muddy is when certain bass freqz get out of line in the stereo field. They should be more centered and never spread across the entire stereo field (drums, bass gtr, heavy synth, or bassically anything in the 300hz and below range). This helps your mix sound better on EVERY system. Meaning if someone plays your song on a mediocore kitchen radio you'll still have a decent mix coming through. This really helps to get that low end punch that most of us seek. Not to mention if you want your songs cut to vinyl this is a MUST. The bass freqz are the ones that have to be tamed in order for a song to be cut to vinyl!!!

My mastering chain is as follows:

1)Waves Renaissance Equalizer (Req2)
2)Waves – Linear-Phase MultiBand
3)Roger Nichols-Frequal-zer2ch
4)BBE Sonic Maximizer
5)**TP Basslane (free little jewel)**
6)Nomad Factory Magnetic
7)NuGen Audio Visualizer

Those are just what I use....what ever u have the equivalent of or better is cool. I got most of this particular chain from another site, tried it and it has worked for me. The only thing diff't from mine and there's is the addition of TP Basslane and the NuGen Visualizer. I think they used a visulizer from waves. The NuGen Visualizer has EVERYTHING u would want at the end of your chain to SEE what is really going on in your mix imo.
