Well that one i showed you would be your best option cause its usb. I would do a search maybe outside of M-audio and see what you can find. Also do a search on Ebay for it you may find a used one cheaper.

The fast track pro? I may go for that to be honest, I could probably find it at a decent price on ebay. What are the main things I should be looking for when getting an audio interface?

Well for the monitors like I had said before need the 1/4 plug to hook up. That fast track will connect via USB so your audio output for whatever program you use will need to be set for that device. That way all your audio output will go through the monitors.

Honestly it will be a decent set up for having everything hooked up with your laptop.
