i just recorded a 4 bar loop using my laptops keyboard and on playback the tempo is changing, jumping from 84 to 88 to 100something then back.

can anyone tell me what needs to be changed in order to stop this. it must be happening during recording (cause it sounds crappy as hell there too!)

thanks

also i have no clue what 'poly' does but that changes as well...

if you accidently hit something while recording, or adjusted the tempo while the record button was on on accident, it recorded the events of you adjusting the tempo, you need to right click the control of wherever u changed it at and erase the events by right clicking, hitting edit events, ctrl+a delete, thats all i could think of that may have happened.

the only thing i can think of is: i hit the 'X' key to play the kick, but then after i selected the snare i didnt hit the X i hit the 'S' which gave a low pitch playback of the snare.

perhaps that caused FL to change tempo..the difference in pitches of samples played?

This has never happened to me but sounds like you've changed the tempo midway while recordin or suttin

dude if ur playing a straight sample u always wanna hit q, your keyboard acts as a piano, so they are different pitches, and unless you have a layer, if you only select one sound, it will play those sounds all over the piano if u dont just hit q, which is middle C
