FL studio question

[50 cal]

ok i downloaded the demo of fruity loops, and i have a problem, I have this melody in my head and i know how to play it out, but i cant fit it in the step sequencer. the melody is kind of slow and i can only get the first 2 notes in and the it just loops around. is there any way i can fix this.

yes. i do not have fl loaded up now but try to see through this window. go into the main options/control panel [the same options where you set your sample vaults and midi keyboard, on the left you will see tabs that will open the various four sections of the menu]. Within that you can change choose the length of the sequencer. i've even seen pictures of beatminers who used two display's(computer monitirs) and had it configured so that the had real long sequencer formats that added to the composition a twist of unique variety. this is off the subject but.. like alanis moresst one sung... "i enjoy a good beer buzz in the morning"

ok thanks i figured it out, but i got 1 one more question, i have one pattern, now how do i make another pattern seperate so i can be able to mix each one indivudaly

just switch patterns. its on the toolbar next to the BPM.

ok i figured out how to make my patterns but when i change the notes on my second pattern it make that note apply for all my other patterns i did before.
