there r alot of new things in 6 that werent in 5 and i like all the ones ive seen.

and if your making hip hop music then why do the stock sounds need to be good? i thought hip hop is about "dusty fingertips" and having the sounds the next cat doesnt?

i like some of the new things fl6 has. only minor changes have been made to the interface but it looks more modern and professional and not as 'fruity'. theyve finally got a browser search function. the mixer is all good. and sample slices can be dropped to indivdual channels is dope. ive only used it for 10 mins tho so still checkin things out...

and exactly! it shouldnt matter what stock soundz are like. you should be using ur own samples. i hate when peeps shit on fl coz they think the sounds suck. you cant judge a sequencer by the samples it provides!

same thoughts, but they should give those good sounds anyways...it doesn't diminish the program at all, but, for marketing purposes... it's sucks (in my opinion).

It's way too easy for competitors to take that weakness as a reason why FL is cheap (they would say)...

As soon as I get my paycheck... I pay my bills and then, it's directly to the website to buy that program!!!!!!

what's the difference between XXL and Producer Edition? Is the just the extra things you get with it that makes it XXL or is the actual program different?

Go to www.flstudio.com, click on FL Studio (next to Home), then click on feature comparison below the pricing info. To give a quick answer, the program is the same, but things like sytrus and the soundfont player are enabled.

Just pay for the lifetime upgrades, if you bought the boxed version.

As far as version 6 goes it's not very different, but I like it better than 5. Little things like the "Replace" feature for tracks makes me happy.

its nice when you are using the piano roll you can like hold control and it automatically sets it as 'snap to none' while your holding ctrl, then when you let go it goes back to snapping to half or cell or whatever you set it to
