LMAO ur talking about harddrive space... how much RAM do u have, they are totally differnt

when u run applications they are stored in ur RAM (random access memeory), ur hard drive or disk space is totally differnt. u need to have atleast a gig of ram these days to run music software smoothly,

consult ur manual according, also do a quick search on ram and u will see what i mean

well i have found the problem, it is with my maudio midi keyboard that is causing this, i unplugged it and all the programs runs perfect, i guess thats why it was only doing it with my music software, any suggestions on why my midi causes this?????

classic: yeah i know i have 179 GB harddrive, and 1 gig of ram, thats what my computer has.............

Have you solved the problem yet? I know the midi controller was the problem but did you fix it? I was thinking it was probably your sound driver before you even posted about it being your controller. Try updating it or reinstalling the current one.

You can also defragment your hard drive for better performance.

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter

either way, check ur virtual memory paging file size.

control panel>>system>>advanced>>performance>>settings>>advanced>>virtual memory>>change>>custom size>> etc. make sure its not so low that ur computer is trying to squish all of its programs into a tiny amount of space

Are you using a USB connection between your keyboard and your PC? That's been known to add extra overhead if the drivers for the device are poorly written. Try grabbing the latest driver from the manufacturer's site and installing it.

Stuff like this is one of the biggest reasons why is still rely on a fuckin ISA slot MIDI card. ZERO problems with the ye olden schoolen technology.

Sadly, I'll have to give it up when I install my new athlon board and processor this weekend.

Grafik just something to try here...

Go to options, audio settings and make sure you have the interpolation set to 6-point hermite. One time i switched this setting trying to get higher quality and everything started stuttering and playing slowly just like you described. Sounds like a different problem you're havin but its worth a shot.

Ok. What I want you to try is really simple. I'm assuming you have the keyboard plugged in via USB. Unplug the board from the USB port, and hook it up directly to the 0404 via it's MIDI In port (get a MIDI cable if you don't have one). Go back into FL Studio and disable the USB connection for MIDI and enable the 0404's MIDI port.

If that works, uninstall the USB driver and never use it again.
