so im gunna be backin up my boys vocals on this song we did together this saturday at this bar downtown,i never been on stage before an never rocked a mic live,any tips,im kinda nervous about this shit ,i been rehearsin nonstop

Just relax and maybe have a drink or two, also since your doin back ups for him you never one be the one in front center stage because you dont want to upstage him that would confuse the audience so whenever you have to pass by him on stage pass behind him, Good Luck!!

make sure u practice loud too.. loud meaning hook up a soundsystem and go through your routine.. shit's different when you bust loud versus without a sound system.. i been on stage alot (battle, showcase, and dj'in for my mc crew).. but only as a deejay

oh.. and think of something that could go wrong and plan for it (mic dont work, etc), because it will

Try not to be nervous just go with confidence people can tell when you're nervous what helps me is I try to focus on one person who's really feelin the show and pretend I'm doin the show for just them. Don't think about how many people are there. Earlier this year I played with this blues singer Charlie Sales at an ampetheater in front of thousands of people with one rehearsal I just focused on this guy in the front row who was really feelin it and pretended I was playin for just him. I've also had experiences where I got nervous and fucked everything up so just stay calm and confident.
