Scratch is just becoming XXL Jr...They even changed the header from" The only mag that reps the beats" to "Hip-hop for the Rhythm and Rebel".Its being sold as the mixtape you read now.......They dont even focus on beatmaking no more

i know there's enough eminem bashing, but the eminem issue is the last one I bought. After what this dude did to 2pacs cd, i gave up on this magazine for puttin him on the cover as a producer, they cant even do a producer mag without dick ridin g-unit and sellin out.they suck them cats dick enough with xxl. they slowly headed towards the benzino route.just the opposite course

That's is true, the previous guy that was the Head Director or wtv said that it was slowly becoming xxl junior. He also said that they wouldn've put Premo without an emcee on it : Nas. Also, they thought they would've make a lot of money with the Eminem issue, but it still didn't sell. And, if you notice, there's 2 covers : RZA cover and the Mannie Fresh and Juvenile : you see, again they put a rapper.

I like that mag but they really turned there back on the producers. I remember the first issues, I learned some techniques, now i don't anymore, i learn more of : he produce this that before producing this and that and he uses this.

Rza's my favorite producer of all time....I would say he's the best...but then about 20-30 mafuckas w/ come on after me and say "how could you say he's better than JD....or Just Blaze...blah blah blah".
It's just an opinion...so I'ma say he's my favorite...but no one can argue the importance of the RZA...Wu came out when Dre and Snoop (west coast) were running hip hop...before BIG....around the same time as Nas...they changed the game...and RZA "PRODUCED" some of the greatest HIP HOP albums ever...so pay some respect...I don't care where you're from!

The cat who started Scratch was the same guy who started Wax Poetics. He left and the magazine has lost it's vision.

I used to anticipate each edition. Now, I get it and it sits on my counter for weeks and I may pick it up when I need to take a sh!t.
