You can make that yourself. Get the SCSI card off ebay for like 10 bucks and a case only costs 10 bucks. I made my own SCSI CD Drive and Multicard reader for less than 90 bucks each. They sale some good stuff but if u wanna get technical all it is is a SCSI card reader in a box so it can become external.

Just like with an internal hard drive u can put it in an enclosure now u have an external hard drive.

Real simple and easy.

SCSI insider by IOMEGA... http://www.chickensys.com/asrx/IntZipDrive.html

Just got one and stumbled onto this cuz i want a scsi cardreader for the asrx, now I dont know if its the "scsi insider" or that they used it and modified it. If it is the appropiate solution than that would explain the 300 bucks forat charges cuz it would probably come it new scsi zipdrive. For the asrx there should be no problem whatsoever ( os is flashed in eprom so it doesnt need to be bootable but me thinks the device is capable of fitting a scsi cardreader for your mpc2000...

again, i dont have the classic and fat chance I will ever want one but still hehe

^^^^

That kit doesnt work for mpc2000. Talked with two people from the site and said it doesnt work the mpc2000 though with some modification one could get another internal drive into their mpc2000 but at a high cost price. Its possible to add an internal drive but if SCSI is available then go that route. I know how to put in the internal drives but its not something i would see myself doing for others cause its a risk, takes time, and can get expensive.
