@Cyents beat reminding me of some havoc or alc beat.

Preciate it bruh! Yeah, Hav & Alc are in and have always been in my top 5 favorite producers.. Their influence is tremendous in what I do, so I like to keep my tracks in the vein of them.. Not mimicking or biting, but just representing what they did musically for me as a youth, and paying it forward by keeping that sound alive..

Bro i feel you i really wish i could do the same with Storch. Any time i go to add a sound similar to he might tho rehh... i could probably ghost produce at this point.
I end up not wanting to share the tracks... bangers, but i dunno people might not see it as inspo but copying

Well, what Ive learned in all my years of doing this, is that you gotta listen to a lot of their catalog of music, and just focus on what they did as far as samples and instruments, and then do what YOU do to make it your own while still staying influenced by their work.. You gotta study how they did the progressions, what synth did they use and how did they use it, and is it a synth sound thats already in your arsenal? -- if it isnt, find one that has the same texture and feeling, and just do it how YOU do it.. And people can see it however they want, bruh -- theres no way you can change someones perception.. As long as its inspiring to YOU -- fuck it. I dont make music for other people to enjoy (not completely hahahaha..) -- I start with one thing: DO I ENJOY IT? And if I like my shit, then thats all that matters.. Its a banger regardless of what someone else says about it.. For every one person that doesnt like it or thinks its "copying", theres always gonna be two more people who love it and thinks its dope.. You cant please everybody all the time, unfortunately.. Just do you, homie. Everything else will fall into place...
