Favorite artist to sample?

Question for yall heads.... who is your alltime favorite artist to sample? I don't mean who is the best to sample, who is the most sampled (gotta be james brown), etc.... I mean who is YOUR personal all time favorite artist to sample, from drums to strings,keys, etc, to vocal samples, the whole nine yards. I ask because I've found myself working O V Wright, Teddy Pendergrass, and Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass down to the dirt. Anyone else in the same predicament?

on a side note, To remedy this problem, I've been going to Goodwill and Salvation Army and buying entire crates of albums at once. "kill em all, let god sort em out"

AND PLEASE NO HIP HOP/RAP ARTIST SAMPLES!! i mean, don't step in here like "...i like to sample RZA!..." jeeze.

MY FAVORITE ARTIST TO SAMPLE IS ANONYMOUS...

I HARDLY EVER CHECK FOR THE NAME OF THE SONG OR THE NAME OF THE ARTIST WHEN I SAMPLE...

BUT I HAVE BEEN KNOW TO SAMPLE JAMES BROWN, JOE SIMON, THE TEMPTATIONS, BUT I STAY AWAY FROM TOO MANY BIG NAMES... ITS EASY FOR OTHERS TO PICK UP ON THAT SAME SAMPLE AND TRY TO DO IT BETTER... AND ITS EASY FOR SOMEBODY TO SUE YO ASS OVER A 3 SECOND AUDIO SNIPPET...

THE DEEPER YOU DIG INTO SOUND LIBRARIES THE BETTER... ID RATHER GET SUED FOR USING A SAMPLE FROM A TRACK BY JOHN DICKERSON (A WASHED UP MUSICIAN LIVING IN METCALF, MI)... THEN MONEY HUNGRY DIANA ROSS....

SO TO SUM THINGS UP... ID RATHER SAMPLE FROM A LESSER KNOWN ARTIST TO AVOID CLONING A BEAT THAT SOMEBODY ALREADY MADE... AND TO AVOID HUGE LUMP SUM LAWSUITS THAT COULD NOT ONLY RUIN REPUTATION BUT RUIN YOUR CREDIT HISTORY...

SO SINCE I DONT HAVE THE NAMES OF MY FAVORITE SAMPLES' ARTIST I'LL SAY MY FAVORITE ARTIST TO SAMPLE IS: THE UNDERPAID MUSICIAN WHO HAD A FEW GOOD CDS BEFORE EVERYBODY FORGOT ABOUT HIM/HER...

i shouldn't be telling my secrets, but

I usually look for a album cover with a band with some white dudes with long 70's hair with one or two black dudes with afros and longside burns, Who look like they smoke cigarettes. Or a clean cut white dude on the cover with just him and his guitar in a leisure suite. LOL

i sample alot of spanish records that way most people who aint spanish wont know where the sample came from and they be having heat too.

i don't have any favorite artists. i sample everything from everything
there's so much music out there that it's impossible to have a favorite.

I don't have a Favorite artist but I look for Records with instruments and bass riffs that have open space....so I can easily lift the sample and use it....I have a lot of records that are a waste, sometimes I go and just buy about 15 Records randomly to see what I can get....I also take the easy route by getting the remade sample vinyl's by K-Tel....hahaha where you can get a bunch of classic songs on one record...
