Serious Power for Native Audio Workstations

Mobility
PowerCore is the open DSP-platform for rackmount-quality processing inside any VST or AudioUnit compatible audio application such as Logic, Cubase, Nuendo or Performer. The new PowerCore FireWire enables laptop
users and professionals constantly on the move to take advantage of the wide selection of professional tools.

Power
Even complex mixes are possible with just a laptop and one PowerCore FireWire, as it is offering almost twice the power of the PCI-card version! The unique combination of a floating-point PowerPC with 4 Motorola DSPs ensures tight integration into the native world – at the same time maintaining all of the advantages that DSPs offer for pristine signal processing.

Quality
PowerCore’s software and hardware provide the utmost quality and a future-proof design. Extremely power demanding tools like Mastering Dynamics, Reverbs and other professional virtual processors run on PowerCore without draining the host computer’s resources.

Tools
PowerCore FireWire delivers an array of powerful tools right out of the box. The nine virtual processors included feature the most complete collection of dynamics processing available, including a virtual Finalizer (Master X), Vintage Compression and a Voice Channel Strip. Not to mention the two TC-quality Reverbs, Modulation Effects, EQ, Synthesis...

Flexibility
Aside from the included software, PowerCore users may choose from the growing number of optional TC and 3rd party tools, featuring renowned brands such as Waldorf, Sony, TC-Helicon, DSound - and many more to come. Naturally, the PCI-card and the FireWire version of PowerCore may be used in the same system!

How much is it, couldn't seem to find a price on the site. Nice piece of gear, however, it doesn't look like it will work with Reason, and if that's correct, then I'd additionally have to get somethig like Cubase, which only increases the price.

It's a outboard powersource for audio recording on your laptop or your home pc....It takes all tha strain off your cpu and sends all tha focus right to tha powercore - therefore you can process a grip of effects and have several applications open and funtioning at tha same time which is super beneficial to recording on a PC...It is outragously priced though unffortunately:(.....I'd prob. go tha cheaper protools route being that its getting that high...or wait - scratch that - I'd buy this thing instead and be very happy minus tha cpu strain i would still have:)

Whenever I use the words ponder and possibilities in the same sentence, there is usually some reference to Halle Berry.

Yo Duece, this ain't all that man.

I got three of them on my rack hooked up in a row. I use it just to put reverb on my hi-hats. If I try to throw anymore effects like a delay or something on it it starts boggin it down and the sound comes out like boo boo. What you need is a ROLAND MC09 PHRASELAB SAMPLER. Its only a hundred bucks and its way better dawg.

Okay....so its not April but you know I'm still gonna act a fool yo!

Come on Duece, you know me better than that...

You'll probably get one of these before I do.
