This is probably a stupid question, but, did you reboot? This shit happened to me a while back and I had to reinstall the drivers. I don't have an emu though so it might be a different problem altogether.

yeah i rebooted the computer like 3 times, and i am getting nothing, when it happened before i updated the emu driver and it worked, but i tried doing the same thing and it says it's already updated and it wont let me do it again, so i am fucked!!!!!! i hate this shit!

Instead of just updating the driver try uninstalling it first then reboot and see if the computer finds new hardware and then install the driver again. It's a bitch, sometimes you gotta do the same shit 2 or 3 times before it works right. Other than that, how's the emu? I was actually looking into the Emu Emulator X. Let me know if it works out. Sometimes its the stupidest little things I forget that fucks me up.

try doing this, may sound stupid but, its not my cable connection did it once, i accidently hit the sleep button and it went into sleep, anyways imt ellin' you before you reply try it.. instead of rebooting jus put it back into hibernate then pull it back out, if that didnt do it then reboot. the problem is, your computer isn't reconizing is that it's out of "Hibernate" Mode. So you bascially have to wake your computer back, by doing what I said above.

Yeah Money, that makes sense. Yo GRAFIK once you get this sorted out you should set windows to keep from going hibernating or sleep mode. I did that on mine and I haven't had that problem since.

GRAFIK - right-click on an empty spot on your desktop and select properties> then click the screensaver tab and on the bottom click on the monitor power button>make sure SYSTEM STANDBY is set to NEVER> Then click on the Hibernate tab and make sure that the Hibernate box is NOT checked. This should do it for you. Good Luck!

OK - Good to hear your back up and running!

i dont know what it was, i called e-mu and explained to them the problem and they said they have had problems like this before, and i basically just restored the emu soundcard, the guy said he really doesnt know what the problem was, he just basically said when it goes in to hybernate that when the computer wakes up it doesnt recognize it! but if it ever happens again i will know what to do............
