its located in the birth place of hip hop according to some New York......click on the link for more info...its like 500 bones for entrance at tha door and a little cheaper if u get ur tickets earlier...some might think is a little pricey but if ur one of the top beatmakers,which is judged by various comptention thru out tha 4 days, u get to visit Roc-a-fella and Universal Records and preview ur beats to various A&r's and other industry folk..like i said sounds like a good oppurtunity and i would go but i feel im still in the beginin stages of my production technigue hopefully next year i will be ready for the trip

Bones = dollars.....ya it is alot.....even though its possible if ur shyt is hot enuff that those A&R for tha companys i named will hear them its still no guaruntee that it will lead to anything, but if ur at tha level were ur chargin more than that for one of ur beats(hopefully next year i will) its not that serious of a payment

Get to work, sell 5 stinkin beats....you can get at least enuff for train or bus fair...and pay your way in ...just get your biz together and sell 5....this event is worth it .......I know of no other way you can get inside of Sony or Def jam and if your shidd is hot enuff you just might get the call....aside from that the contacts you make are gonna be priceless....each year the event gets bigger and bigger and more people are interested in the producers that are members, there is a live beat battle too and a sample competition.........I have been a member coming up on 2 years.....if you join now its a lil less than 5 bills I think...

The truth is everybody wants something for free but the truth is 500 isnt nothing if your really that hot (im not talking to anybody in general). hell how much money did you spend on your studio equipment and that will never give you a chance to really get poppin. Im goin to this event. I have only hear good things about it...It use to be called EAR TO THE STREETS CONF....im not sure if any of yall have heard i always save up my money for it...to me its likes the Biker week every year in South carlina but for producers.....if you want to get known you bring the the heat and pay the price. But if you aint good or think you good yet or looking for a hand out i can understand why one wouldnt want to pay this much but if you are good then i cant understand...I make 500 dollars in 2 in a half days at work so its nothing to me.

u gotta be NICE....to do well in that.....u have to show tons of versatility......which i do NOT have...YET.....i wouldnt mind spending the money...if i had it of course.....but that place will be PACKED full of producers bringin that heat...and tons of hopes and dreams.........good luck to those who attend....

I want to go to this too. Im in ny so I won't need hotel or airfare or nothin. But 500 bones is still a lot. Well for me it is. Yes I have a steady job ( for 5 years now) yes I dj on the side. But do I still have 500 extra NO!!!!. You know lil things like bills, rent, not to mention new equipment I need to get like some good monitors , a new sound card , bigger mixin board etc.....ima just stand out side and hand out my demo and mixtapes. Wouldn't be funny if I make a contact dat ends up "puttin me on" and some 1 dat payed $500 didn't. Lol

I know that the loot might be a problem....but the conference is set up so you don't have to pay for the entire 3 or 4 days.....you can choose one of the sessions and pay and go....that's worth it too....anyhow I have been a member because I like the opportunity to meet with producers from all over the world just like here but you get access to Top label management and industry execs that are in positions to make decisions that can land you a possible opportunity on a project....and more than that go from the conference to the boardroom or inside of a label like Sony to be heard....there are even local chapters starting up to network with artists and other producers in your area....and also get you some exposure on the local radio station...yeah I know I sound like an advertiser but thats some of the details since you wanted em......also there are some charity related activities that we do too like equipment drives where we donate used or new equipment or visiting childrens homes etc, charity basketball events that have members playing against industry cats and established producers.....but not only is that the only event, throughout the year we have workshops that focus on specific things like engineering, publishing, marketing yourself take place...Jayz's engineer young guru even held a workshop on DAW's and using protools....I got to meet one of Mary J Bliges engineers too and get a few pointers between breaks.

man i aint a baller but im really thinking about going to this, i got family in brooklyn but most likely if i go i will get a hotel since ill be with my girl. she's like my manager, she is good at spreading the word about me out here in cali.

and i also did a remix for k-illa on one of their industry oppordunity section and they sent me an email informing me that it was selected to be submitted to his management team so me going will really give me a chance to network.

i will only have to pay $375 to get in because im a member.
