Not just radio but tv. internet etc.... ascap is the company that u register ur publishing with and that pays you on your publishing. it would do you good to sign up. every time even a snippet of ur beat gets played on da radio tv movie whatever u get paid in a quarterly check... can be a check for $5 can be a check for $5000 depends on da spins and plays and usage.

Honelty Hop it think your seeling yourself short, espically for your talent and the qualtity beats you got. $1000 bucks for an album. I dont know man, make sure the album its aleast gonna get some cirruclation or something or i wouldent even bother.

VERY good feedback Class...A G is aight..but this cat go out and sell a 1000 copies at 3 or 5 dollars....he's rich...LOL..but anyhow thats still a good look....get the publishing and keep ya rights...you gonna be aight though.....congrats!!! but you would be surprised my man told he came out and told this artists a G for a beat and pulled out his wad of 1000 Bills.....so you never know, but lately I been plugged in on a couple of producers on the inside....they get from 2500-5000 easily but with hot joints or hot projects...10-15,000.....but they said the backend money comes too but its harder to get...but make sure you got your publishing and points....

The higher price range also attracks serious clients, when i was sellin beats for (50-150) eariler in the year i had alot of offers but i found alot of the peopel were either full of ish. OR dident have there shit toghter. Most of the cats in that price range arent really serious and are just trying to put some bullsih toghter(no disrepsct to anyone here lol)
They were always coming up with lame excuses about the cheese being short, or how they need money for studio time
Rarely do people in the $400 (per beat) up price range bitch about shit. They usually know exaclty what they want, and no time is wasted pussy footin' around.

Also will u be incharge of recording vocals to??? U have to take that into account> Also how much experince does this cat have??? u may end up spending hours with him teachin him basic studio shit!!!!

Basically man i just think your worth alot more than that 1000 for 12 beats!!!! Shit u should charge $1000 for 2 tracks, see what this cat is talkin about, unless he is offering immeidate exposere or some other unknown incentive i would seriously consider other options.

If u do go with it, make sure u get the money UP FRONT and like D and them said keep that publishing

I've heard his shit, hes got some songs online, and he's nice.. I definitely wouldnt give my beats to a wack MC, it just makes me look bad.

As for recording, Im not doing none of that. Im just gonna have a couple sit-in sessions with him and sequence all of em out and that's that...

and BigD : If he sold a thousand copies for 3-5 bux a piece he wouldnt be rich... he'd have 3-5 thousand, and one of those thousand would be mine.. and trust, getting rid of 1000 cds aint easy, i still got 100 left..

sometimes, if u got beats n u dont think the shit gon sell, go for da highest price u can cause there aint no money to get on da backend. if u know da shit gon be a banger, sell it for less cause da money at the end will make up for it in da long run. ive only sold a few joints online, n those were leases. i aint sellin xclusives unless i know its gon be a hot track where i can benefit greatly from it or they talkin plenty of g's to compensate.

do u hoppa !! im sayin how many people that responed to this thread have sold tracks??? the highest i got paid on one tracks was 500.. and that was the first beat i ever sold lol ... bottom line if u havent heard of him there is a good chance that he doesnt have that much money to begin with so why would u jack ur price up and end up gettin no sale at all. if anything lease him the beat so u can keep the rights... damn u guys are greeedy . i can make a track in 20min to ahalf hour so who cares how much i sell it for.. of course there are your bangers that u keep in the stash but cmon people u guys honestly wouldnt have taken that deal???.. im curious to see some of ur guys discographys since u demand so much

Unsigned artists aren't willing to invest and signed ones are so into their own circles that they don't bother to check the not known producers...
