R&B seems to be immune to genre death. It's still going fairly strong...or maybe not.

Some of these 'new' artist (not calling any names) are basically doing the same thing that added nails in Hip Hops coffin. Even seasoned vets like Beyonce have chimed in...

I'm curious, if I watch someone put a gun to their head, pull the trigger, and get splattered with brain matter...why would I do the same thing? It's happening now in R&B. Do you see what I see?

Honestly, I haven't been following the R&B scene like I used to. It all seems to be Pop as far as I'm concerned. It's not surprising though, all these acts are just doing what sells.

RnB and Hip Hop went pop years ago. They sort of merged into one thing then that one thing became pop.
