you should go to the startrakmusic beat forum. there is a good mix of newbies and vets there. not all beats are hip-hop and you could listen to some VERY COOL beats there...

Im not new to forums but im new to producers forums. And I gotta say I like ill muzik the best. Isn't it funny I just got back from registering on future producers.com and reading through it. And came back here just to see new posts and came accross this one.
I gotta say I don't realy care for future producers site allready. And even with being able to go to all these sites on my sidekick its still to much to keep up with. Id rather just 1 complete site to belong to and its definately illmuzik.com.

yeah this forum has the best balance with regard to quality of music made by participants, knowledge of production tools and tecniques and politeness of users.


things move slower hear than ughh for instance but, there are nuff idiots on ughh.

I dont go to forums as much as i used to when i was learning the techniques, now im at a stage where peeps cant help me i know how to do shit i just gotta do it.

Before I started IllMuzik, I used to go to ughh but I quickly hated it because of all the idiots talking shit over there. So instead of hanging around or finding another place, I started this. It's nice to see so many people on here helping each other out and just being normal, lol.

Yeah, I noticed that on producer/music forums in general, a lot of the b.s. is kept outside and I actually learn more from sites such as this -than I do from any other source.

I like mpc-forums.com and tweakheadz.com as well as illmuzik. Can't go wrong as far as technical knowledge and gettin your questions answered with those.

Yeah, I think the best example of a forum with a hollier than thou attitude is the UGHH forum. I saw one cat say something to a new guy like "The older heads will haze you unil you have over 200 posts and give them all free drum kits"........he was serious. I havent made all that many posts here but I lurked a while before I decided to jump right in so I know a little about whats going on here and you guys are right about this being a lot more friendlier community. On UGHH it seems like there is a lot of older disgruntled guys not wanting to see anyone succeed, on here its like people actually want to see other people succceed.

people are ought to be treated by the way they behave and by who they are, and definitely not by the number of their posts. such attitude exists in the army - greenhorns vs. veterans. i am against that.
