Do Something New. The Cold Truth Challenge.

Basically this thread is an issued challenge to my Illmuzik family. this is fight club. i'm going to start thinking of assignments and issuing them monthly.

for this month... i'll just throw out general, basic stuff.

just do something new this month. anything. make a new contact. go to a local studio and see if you can get work there- free or pay. find a local mc thats at least half way decent. print up business cards. put them in your local mom and pop shop.

the point is to do something that you arent already doing. if you live in a metropolitan area, hit up some labels. check for the local indy's. go to a show and pass out flyers.
hit up the local radio station. meet up with the local dj's.

put in some suggestions......

but for real........

do something new.

as for me? i keep saying i am getting business cards, so i am. i'm going to put out little 5 track demo's with my info (songs with my collaberating artists) at all the mom and pop record stores i can find. the goal is to have these things done by september 15th.

I'll take you up on the challenge, one thing I'd like to point out is that even though there are some cats on illmuzik that are actually in the industry or on the verge, even those guys who deal with your favorite artists everyday, get stagnant, have bigger dreams in mind, or need new challenges every now and then to keep things fresh.

It's important to note that talent alone does not make a star. Take a shower, put a clean shirt on, leave the house and make some moves to get your music heard!!!

This might be out of topic but NYC September 15th Little Brother Show @ BB Kings I will be in the building as for something new im recording a Mixtape and doing the cover work and pressing em up i neva did that b4.

good idea CT. i've quit drinkin again and will go to AA if nessisary. i need to get my game together cause i'm not worth shit right now. my beats are flat and my motivation is nill. i know i have gold in me though.. so once i get my issues settled i'll be much more involved with illmuzik projects and be able to actually injest the skills i listen to here. from this point on i'm stricktly business''
