yo what do you have to do to get a major distrabution deal for an indie record label, can it be done, or do you have to be signed to a major record lable to get distrabution around the states.

1st, you should learn how to spell the word distrIbution. But, major distribution is hard to come by. You don't have to be signed, but you have to be making lots of noise and pushing 150,000 units out the back of your truck. Beyond that, there are independent distributors that once you have a finished product, you can get it to them, and if they like it, they'll get it in stores. Sort of a Catch-22 though... they're only going to get it in stores, no one will know it's there.

Hwat hinesty said it's true, so if you go the independant way make sure to hav a publicity/promotion budget for you album! Too often people forget about that.....1 production $ = AT LEAST 1 Promotion $....and thats the minimum man!
