Cubase VST v5 question

EVerytime i record in cubase VST I get a echo or delay on the audio files. Could this be my soundcard? THis seems to happen in other programs aswell

Sounds like latency, what kind of soundcard do you have and does it have ASIO drivers? Make sure you select the proper soundcard driver in your audio recording program. Consult the soundcard manual for specifics or just explain a little bit further what your working with for us to help you.

I sec man, delay / echo when recording sounds like you got active monitoring on. Go to OPTIONS -> AUDIO SETUP -> SYSTEM and there is a MONITORING section there. Click on GLOBAL DISABLE and click OK.

Try again man, I hope this helps but if it happens on other programs im not too sure and it could be sound card related.
