Cubase Freezing

What's up ya'll, I'm having a problem with Cubase SX 2.0 freezing up after I use like EQ, Compression, Limiter, Clipper on like 7 tracks. I was wondering if there is a way around this or this is going to happen everytime I use a certain amount of plug-ins. It's so bad that I can't even click on anything, it takes a long time for anything to process. Hopefully someone can guide me into the right direction because I like Cubase. Thanks for the help in advance.

Is it only Cubase, or does this happen with other programs such as Cool Edit / Soundforge? Is it a cracked version? Maybe it's slow because your computer doesn't have the speed for it?

you need more ram. simple as that.

a higher processor cant hurt, but more ram will fix you up.

are you using those plugins on midi tracks? if so, mixdown your individual midi tracks to a specified folder and then import them as audio tracks. i have this problem here and there, but once it starts to click i export the midi tracks.

Damn ya'll are fast. Yea, Cubase is cracked, does that make a difference. I haven't tried it in Cool Edit or anything else. I'm about to do it in Acid to see if it does it there.

Yo Cold, I thought it was the RAM also. I had 512, then I went and purchases 512 more and it's still doing the same thing. No I'm using the plug ins on audio.

400mhz could do it. But then again I used to make beats on a P2 333mhz, but I just didn't use a lot of plugins and FX.

Try it in Acid and load that it up with FX and see then let us know.

P.S. I miss Taco Cabana!

Yo, I've been in S.A for 2 yrs and still haven't had any Taco Cabana. I'll try it in Acid tonight and I'll get back to you, thanks for the help too.
