I am happy to see southern artists finally get the regonition that they derserve but Im worried about us being pigeon holed into one genre of music.. I mean pit bull isent crunk, he is a tight cuban lystist from miami.

Hope people dont expect me to make crunk casue im from florida. Its sad the people think all have have to say is ass,tities and strip club's.

I agree with you 100% Classic on this one. The Mojority of the rap music coming out of the south is crunk music, besides Cash Money. Just because we from the south don't mean we to do what every one else is doing. Thoguht I'm am always glad to see southern artist get there shyne regardless. Although I think that guys (and gals) like me and Classic should try to show the world a diffrent side of southern music to let them know we got some creativity. speaking for my self, my beats aren't the best by any standard beacuse I'm still trying to find my nich. Though I am getting better with time (1 1/2 years of making beats progressively next month) and I want to blow the south up and make a diffrence.

People mistake the south for being just crunk but it's way more than that. There are a lot of different varieties of artists down here that have completely different styles. Crunk is just one of the most popular. And y wouldnt it be? it sells..... But people should really give us a chance and not listen 2 mainstream south. We have a whole lot more 2 offer....

Most Gangsta rappers have actual skill and take time to write there lyrics while crunk rap is just like...5 min. beat behind 5 min. lyrics....In other words simple gaudy lyrics with a simple beat.
