This is for anybody out there with their own website. A couple questions...

1) Did you make it yourself or did you work with somebody professional?
2) If you did make it yourself, what did you use to make it?
3) How many hours of work did it take you?
4) Where did you upload it? How much does the server charge you for their space? What kind of special perks you think you get from your specific server?
5) If you have your own website, please leave it in your response so i can check it out. I want to make my own and am tryin to get an idea of what i want to do

Appreciate all responses. Peace

1) Im just starting up, already have afew intrested client's, I'll post the link's once im done

2) You can use any word editing software to make a web page (i.e notepad) you just have to have a good sound understanding of HTML, good for just starting out, mucking around with HTML ect... I use Dreamweaver MX (site layout ect..) Fireworks along with PS for image editing & Flash MX for animation. check out www.macromedia.com

3) Depand's on the site, if your just learning, it is going to take quite afew hours just to learn each of the program's so you can make the most out of them.

4) Best place may be your ISP, although some people have a server from home to host their site, I've seen 100 MB of storage space for like $20-30 a month

The hardest part of making any site is working out the layout, content, image's,colours, media content all the planning that goes into a site is the most time draing, but a MUST DO.

2.Adobe Go-Live..but its just plain html code...nothing fancy

3.Maybe 62 total...including coming up with a concept.

4.Apollo Hosting - 20 buck a month to park as many domains as I want for 15 bucks a pop, but I am getting ready to switch to yahoo. They help you set up a small online store to sell no more than 10 products in the basic package. So I was thinking about selling music that way.

5.www.ominousred.com

Thanks For The Response. Aren't Those Programs You Mentioned A Couple Hundred Dollars Tho? I'm Lookin At Webpages With A Budget

On a budget, you could use Netscape Composer to build a page.

GoDaddy.com has some decent hosting options.

Good luck.
