cooledit problem saving files

ok i've allready searched the forums looking for an answer but here's my question.
when i go to use my samples from cooledit in fruitloops, floops won't recognize them neither will winamp. im saving them as windows PCM (wav.) files i've asked a bunch of people, and they all have no clue? i'm using cooledit2.0 and fl studio 4 any help would be much appreciated

Hey,

Are they 16 bit, 44.1khz, stereo files? Maybe you're making 32 bit files, and the other programs aren't able to read them...

yea there 16bit 44.1khz i have no idea why it's not working one friend said maybe it's my hard drive???

Hey,

1. Are you able to open them back up in Cool Edit?
2. Can you play them with the little Sound Recorder program in Windows?

yea i'm able to open them back up in cooledit but thats it. i'm not sure about in the sound recorder program in windows? if thats windows media player then no. i've been told maybe reformating my hard drive might fix it if not maybe a new one???
