recently i doubled a drum track, which initially gave the drums a super nice sound, but listening closer, i ran into a phase problem and i got some weird delay too. maybe because of both tracks sharing the same vst effect? however, great video LDB, appreciate the effort.

on the real... textin and typin certain words without seein a person's attitude can get crazy...
definitely. i just got angry with a friend because of that. and even after clearing things out, i'm still a bit mad, although i know now it wasnt meant that way. chat can be dangerous :)

Maybe we should just video all of our replies to each other and not type at all so when I say STFU! it doesn't sound like I said STFU! hahaha...you guys are sick.

Anyway, for the FL users...this is just a tip, it's not the LAW...try it and if you don't like the results, don't use it. If you like but are having problems then hit me up here and i'll try to help you thru it...it's that simple.

Good luck! =)

FL users....which I'm not...I shouldn't even be in here....lol..let me go back and delete my shhhh

I would say that any help is good help...most of the time if I direct something that I say to an individual, it starts with @name or a quote. If 'whoever' follows my instructions as posted, phase cancellation won't be an issue. Nevertheless, it is something to keep in mind if you're doing this with hardware or another DAW (maybe...).

Oh, and I never took it as you were trying to prove me wrong or anything, as far as I'm concerned, we are all on the same team, the old dac is gone, the new dac is a lot more at ease about everything. It's dp and I that hate each others guts and more sooner than later, you will see that more clearly.

Here's the video...sorry about the annoying mouse clicks, they really sound crappy in certain parts and the sound quality wasn't the best. I just ran with the default settings but thats all fixed now...

Enjoy!

Thanks for the tip Dac, Ive actually using a similar tip when I go for a low end or when I want may bass to get that deep feeling what I do is take the sample and clone it. assign the clone to its own channel on the mixer, filter it with fruity free filter and then remove the mids and highs with the parametric eq. May seem a little lazy but I get the results i'm looking for in most cases.

Yeah its basically the same thing...I don't get in the habit of doing it this way too often, it's just a little change up every now and then. Most of the time that I need more bass from a processor...my "goto" is Waves MaxxBass...now that thing is a beast!

If you guys want to do it right...check this review... http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/review-2/review-pump-bass-maxxbass-waves

*near the middle/bottom of the page he's demonstrating a drum set alone, a drum set with MaxxBass, and the last one is MaxxBass alone. He needs to fix the 2nd link to the "drum set with MaxxBass" but thats probably impossible since he's obviously using a Mac. But you will get the idea...
