anyone find working from cool edit to cubase a little tricky,i just got cubase today and i been usin cool edit for about a year,i think its a little tricky to edit the wavforms in cubase ,things like the milisecond it takes to start playin after u hit play or the milisecond it takes to stop after u hit stop, besides that i miss the simple generate silence button in cep and being able to zoom in real close on the multitrack side of cep and edit in detail real fast, when i zoom into the multitrack in cubase the waveform still looks far away,i dunno i was going to use cubase to finish up the rest of this project im working on,maybe ill just finish it off with cep then take more time to learn cubase before i work on my projects with it

what i do, is always cutting and sequencing in cool edit and then making solo mixdown tracks for further export into cubase, samplitude whatever. hah, man i feel ya, i got that familiar with CE and how to use effects in it, that its very hard now to jump off to another program. its just that comfortable and im sooo lazy :) peace

Hey,

I've been a Cubase/CEP user for many many years now...before SX came out you used to be able to send audio files into CEP from Cubase directly, edit them, save them, then bring them back into Cubase without having to shut anything down.

Now with SX they want you to use their own editor...bastards!

CEP's strength lays in its waveform editor, so whenever I find that I need to do some detailed editing I go there...Cubase's strength lays in its sequencing and arranging tools, so I do most of my creation and laying out in it.

Don't get rid of CEP completely, you will be disappointed; they are two different types of programs.

Take care,

Nick
