Converting Akai CD's

Merry Xmas everyone

Anyway I tried doing a search on this and couldn't find an answer. I ordered an Akai cd which has the Triton soundset on it. I know my computer won't recognise it, so what program can i use to play it on my midi keyboard?

Will kontakt do?

kontakt reads akai s1000 and akai s3000 files

and maybe this will do the trick:

for Windows 95/98

CDxtract runs on windows 95/98 and reads Akai CDroms from any scsi or atapi
cdrom drives. This release allows full conversion of Akai programs and samples
to soundfont files (.sf2) directly loadable in any soundfont compatible soundcards
(SoundBlaster live, EMU APS...).

get a program called awave studio, that can convert basicly any file type to any file type akai and triton included

Theres also Propellerheads Reload...but cdXtract is good and works too.

yup i was gonna say reload too, but eka said kontakt recoginzies it so i guess it will work

the entire triton soundset for $99?

It's some dodgy cracked cd a friend of mine lent to me. I haven't tried out all the sounds on it but so far, it's ok but nothing special

Hmm, try Oddity by Ohmboys. Also good emu of an Arp Oddesy.
